My Travels…

I live on an island with international parents whose families are still scattered around the world. Growing up, travelling was a must if we were to see our grandparents and other relatives, or to get to know the history and roots from where we came from!

Travel is an important part of me; of who I am and how I grew up… and a continuing must in my life-to-come 😉

To date, I’ve been to:

CARIBBEAN: Trinidad and Tobago*, Barbados, Commonwealth of Dominica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, St. Lucia
SOUTH AMERICA: Brasil (Manaus), Chile, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Venezuela (Isla Margarita)
CENTRAL AMERICA: Nicaragua, Panama
NORTH AMERICA: United States (FL**, CA, DC, GA, IL, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, SC, TX, VA, WI), Canada (Toronto, Montreal), Mexico (Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Tulum)
EUROPE: England, France, Scotland, Switzerland, The Netherlands
MIDDLE EAST: Israel, Turkey

* Born & raised
** Lived there for University

My plan/hope/dream, like anyone else, is to visit the world; to see and experience new cultures, to meet new (and old) people along the way, to taste new culinary styles and enjoy or try ‘new-to-me’ adventures… so when the opportunity arises, I take full advantage. I’ve visited about 11% of the world’s recognised countries (counting 196, according to infoplease.com), so I have many many more places to go.

My top 7 dream countries to visit, as of right now, are:

Cuba, Cyprus, Turkey (visited 2016), Madagascar, Monaco, South Africa and Iran

and one day, hopefully soon, I’ll get the opportunity to fulfil those ‘dreams’ and more
