8Four years ago today, a dream came true… the fulfilment of a bucketlist item happened that brings back such good memories.

Four years ago today, I had the opportunity to attend my FIRST Fifa World Cup Game, Match 8, in the Amazonas city of Manaus, Brasil!

World Cup 2014 – Game 1 in Manaus, Match 8 Tickets

The excitements of arriving to the Arena Amazônia four hours early (’cause we were warned of excessive traffic’), walking in through the entrance gates with this feel of wonder, walking into the stadium filled with rows of Orange stands and just taking it all in, was so much more than we imagined; more than we could hope for.

The Sea of Orange

And the seats! Don’t talk about the location of our seats… so perfect right behind the teams that seemed we could just reach out and touched them.

The view from our seats…

The excitement we felt; the elation we experienced and the natural high that we left on, all combined with the good company we were with, made the fulfilment of this  bucketlist item even more perfect.

Today, June 14, 2018, kicks off the beginning of the 2018 Fifa World Cup games throughout Russia and although I won’t have the opportunity to attend this year’s matches LIVE, I will be enjoying and following along as much as I can (without work complaining, of course lol), tracking and cheering for my favourite. 😉

Who are you supporting?

Have you ever had the opportunity to attend a Fifa World Cup game?
