This week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge is to share what Silence may look like… and I started to reminisce…

My Mum used to sing this song to us, which then became one of our favourites…

Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence…
~ written by Paul Simon; sung by Simon & Garfunkel, 1964

Although there have been many many covers of this tune, this original version is still the one that gives me goosebumps…

You can listen to the original full version here:

Sharing as part of the actual Weekly Challenge, this photograph was taken at dusk, while I waited patiently… listening to the Sound of Silence…
