One of our recent Magical experiences was visiting The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, Cuzco Region, Peru, South America. With such history and culture some still unknown to mankind, Machu Picchu is said to have been built for the Inca Emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472) but abandoned when the Spaniards arrived. It however remained fairly untouched as the Spanish Conquistadors never found it, therefore preserving much of it original beauty.

Machu Picchu is situated almost 2,500m above sea level, surrounded by the Andes Mountains and the Amazon Basin and truly felt like a magical moment to us, not only when we first laid eyes on its beauty, but throughout the whole visit.
