This week’s theme of the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge is to share “how the world frames itself… an alternative point of view…”
This was one of my favourite (of many) photographs taken during my recent ‘Bucket List’ trip to the beautiful and magical Istanbul, Turkey 😀
[Yes! we did end up taking the trip of which I am 200% happy about and ever so grateful for – but more on that later! ]
(1/1600 f/6.3 ISO:400 18mm)
This is taken on the outer perimeter of the Topkapi Sarayi (Topkapi Palace) overlooking where the Bosphorus Strait meets the Sea of Marmara.
The Topkapi Sarayi was the largest royal Palace in Istanbul, Turkey and acted as the administrative center and the major residence for the Ottoman Sultans for almost 400 years, from the beginning of the reign of the Ottoman Empire. It is now a National Museum and an important part of the Historic Areas of Istanbul, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Here are some more views from this part of the Palace:

Lovely shots. My daughter was there recently and was very glad she took the trip as well.
