I decided to take a “me-day” today and took a leisurely drive up to Mount St. Benedict’s Abbey. The Abbey consists of a church, a monastery, a seminary, a yoghurt factory, and a Guest House, among other things.
Heading Northwards on St. John’s Road, St. Augustine and continuing, will lead you straight up the hill to the Abbey. There are many memories associated with the drive: from school swim meets at the St. Benedict’s Pool, to visiting the Mount Guest Shop just to buy freshly made yoghurt, to taking a drive on a Sunday evening to enjoy the vast view of the plains below.
I was blessed with a sunny, clear day to enjoy my drive, so I also had the opportunity to take a couple of photos…
